ROY THINNES
The Invaders. Alien beings from a dying planet. Their destination: the Earth. Their purpose: to make it their world. David Vincent has seen them. For him, it began one lost night on a lonely country road, looking for a shortcut...that he never found. It began with a closed, deserted diner and a man too long without sleep to continue his journey. It began with the landing of a craft from another galaxy. Now, David Vincent knows that The Invaders are here, that they have taken human form. He must somehow convince a disbelieving world that the nightmare has already begun. Replacing two comedies in January 1967, The Invaders ran 2 seasons for a total of 43 episodes. The show was highly rated and even today is considered a cult classic. Roy did a lot of his own stunts in the show and often got hurt.

Roy in this photo examines an Invader regeneration tube. The Invaders cannot survive in our atmosphere in their native form and so take on a human "shell" which when compromised or breached, causes them to disintegrate, which is also a safety mechanism for them, leaving no trace of their existence other than cellulose ash. The Invaders are known for their ability to blend into human society, having no ability to emote, but are trained to imitate human behavior.
